In this tutorial, we will create a new site in CXproᴴᴰ, a software program used to control and monitor building automation systems. The site represents the architecture of the system and consists of networks populated with CB controllers.

Step 1: Creating a Site

1. To create a new site, right-click on "Sites" in the Site List and select "Add Site."

2. In the Add Site window, enter a name for the site in the "Name" field, such as "XX_FirstSite" (where XX are your initials). Choose a BACnet IP connection type and click "OK."

3. The site will be displayed in the Sites List. The directory name field will be abbreviated with the name of the site, and this will be the name of the directory created by CXproᴴᴰ to hold all site information. Tip: When creating sites with a common name, ensure there is unique information in the first part of the name to avoid conflicts with the directory name. By default, CXproᴴᴰ uses BACnet IP communications, but this can be changed to serial communications at any time.

After creating the site, it will be empty and must be populated with networks and controllers.
