How do I correctly generate a licencing request for CXProHD, and ASPECT Studio?
For Aspect revision 3.03.03 and newer and CXproHD revision 1.01.00 and newer, the soft key is the licensing method used for allowing the software to operate correctly.
To ensure that the correct machine ID is generated, the following steps need to be considered before you can get either an Aspect or a CXproHD soft key.
- Ensure that your computer is not connected to a network through an external device (such as a docking station) otherwise, the licence may not be valid once the docking station is disconnected from the PC.
- If you have used dongle licences in the past, and you have a valid dongle licence file and a Sentinel dongle connected, then ASPECT-Studio will show the Licence Type as "Dongle" instead of "Dongle Free". In this case, you must disconnect the Dongle to enable or request the Dongle Free licence
- Aspect or CXproHD Software cannot be installed to operate on a Network Drive.
- Aspect or CXproHD Software cannot be used in a server environment.
- A cable directly attached to the PC or a Wi-Fi connection are OK.
- Installation and use on a VM (Virtual Machine) is acceptable.
